Hamilton has been a hot spot in real estate for the past couple years. If you have recently moved to the city or are planning on buying here, we wanted to give you some things you can look forward to:
A booming restaurant scene:
Hamilton has grown from the “Steel City” to “Canada’s Brooklyn” over the past few years. The most noticeable difference being the ever-growing food scene. There has been hundreds of new restaurants opening up around town that it’s almost overwhelming. If you like trying new restaurants and different foods, you’ll be in love with the number of options you have to choose from. Hamilton offers everything from food trucks to gourmet restaurants and is even home of the Collective Arts Brewery. Check out Hamilton’s Tourism site for a list of great restaurants to eat at.
Nature is abundant:
I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Hamilton is the waterfall capital of the world. If you like to go chasing waterfalls, Hamilton is the place for you! There are plenty of falls to check out – both big and small – that are located near downtown Hamilton. A few good ones to start with are Albion Falls, Tiffany Falls and Mills Falls. Aside from waterfalls, there are also lots of parks to go to and trails to hike. Gage park is located right in the heart of Downtown Hamilton and is a beautiful place to lounge around with family or friends.
Arts and Culture:
There is so much going on everyday in Hamilton that you will never be left wondering what to do. The arts and culture scene is taking over Hamilton, and with that comes plenty of arts shows and music festivals. Every second friday night of the month Art Crawl takes place in downtown Hamilton on James Street North. What is Art Crawl? It’s when tons of local artists, designers, musicians and creatives showcase their work on the street. It’s a free event where you can explore shops, galleries and studios that call Hamilton home. While Art Crawl is not taking place, you should be sure to visit other popular places like The Art Gallery Of Hamilton, The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Bayfront Park and Locke Street.
Hamilton is overall a great place to live, work and play. We are excited for you if you have decided to purchase a home in this beautiful city. If you are interested in buying here or have any questions about the city, please feel free to contact us at info@heritagerealty.ca
